Radical Environmentalism in The Trump Era: Perspectives from Hon. Jason Issac
In the latest episode of AEA’s The Unregulated Podcast, American Energy Institute’s Tom Pyle and Mike McKenna were joined by The Honorable Jason Isaac, the founder and CEO of the American Energy Institute, to talk about the Pipeline Protection Project and what can be done to push back against radical environmental groups with the incoming Administration.
Calling the 2024 election results “an overwhelming rejection” of radical green policies pushed by wealthy, out-of-touch elites, Issac underscores the importance of safeguarding new and existing conventional energy projects, including pipelines, due to their direct links to societal development, national security, and the continuation of affordable and reliable energy American consumers have come to rely on.
Their discussion also spotlights the alarming levels of confrontational tactics employed by eco-radicals whose agenda, according to Issac, “would make energy more expensive and make life worse for working class Americans.” Their discussion also delves into the geopolitical aspects of energy production, noting how fringe green policies inadvertently benefit countries like China while undermining U.S. energy independence.
Additional commentary from Jason Issac can be found in his recent op-ed published in The Daily Signal: Rejecting Extremism: Why Voters Chose American Energy and Common Sense
